The Nature of Christ and Human nature - Will Hort

Devine Nature of Jesus:
re-existence: “In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God” (John 1:1). Jesus existed before creation and participated in it (Colossians 1:16–17).

Divine authority: He forgave sins (Mark 2:5–7), accepted worship (Matthew 14:33), and claimed unity with the Father (“I and the Father are one” – John 10:30).
Resurrection and Ascension: His triumph over death confirmed His divine identity and eternal kingship.

Human Nature of Jesus:
Birth and growth: Born of the Virgin Mary (Luke 2), He grew in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52).

Human experiences: He felt hunger (Matthew 4:2), thirst (John 19:28), fatigue (John 4:6), sorrow (John 11:35), and temptation (Hebrews 4:15).

Suffering and death: He endured physical pain and crucifixion (Philippians 2:8), a real human death followed by burial.
